Interesting facts about me
I have led a wild sort of life. I have worked as a farmhand, choke setter, hay loader, juggy for a seismograph co, oil hand, truckdriver, and even played a bit part in a small movie called "Winter Wolf". I have owned a masonry subcontractorship for the last 15 years specializing in fireplaces and chimneys.
My hobbies are reading, cooking, woodworking, mountain biking (right now I still a ride an enduro frame but think I will be headed for a more aggressive downhill frame), camping and mountaineering. I have not done any scuba in quite awhile but as soon as I get back to the lands of warm waters you can be sure that diving is the top of my to do list. I also have a weakness for things which go very fast or travel about on two wheels. I am in the middle of rebuilding a 1960 chevy Apache 1/2 ton step side I have already installed a 350 c.u engine mated to a 400 turbo trans with shift kit it is turning around 320 hp to the rear wheels. I need to upgrade the suspension to match the power and most likely will retrofit all the brakes with discs. I still have not made up my mind on whether or not I will install power steering think I will see how swapping the entire front end out for a modern system with rack and pinion works out. I am still on the lookout for another basket case bike or might just start wandering through bent bike and get the parts to build another scoot. So if you are a Harley person with a project bike let me know! If you get to me on the right day I might actually have the money to take it off your hands.

I generally enjoy fall but I am not a fan of the gray days where the sky is crushing downward in a gloomy dull fashion. I prefer the bright cold brisk days where the leaves are lit in all their red, orange and yellow hued glory. Still sitting here in the dark of the day seeing no reason to travel outside other than to get the mail and take that dreaded bike ride it is nice to wrap up with hot coffee. Winter rolls in to the mountains of the Northwest earlier than it does at lower altitudes. While I am ensconced well into the low valleys to the east of the Cascades, it is on morning like this that the chill of those high hills makes itself known. It almost seven in the morning here and it is dark with stray bands of light sneaking in over the eastern ridge line. It is one of those mornings where coffee and a fire are not out of place nor are thoughts of partial hibernation...
